Easter 2009

Decorating eggs the night before

The Gang dressed warmly for the hunt!

What did you get? Let's eat lots of candy!

Today was one of the colder Easters I can remember. It was 37 degrees at 8:30 am on our way to church. Myra had to wear leggings under her new Easter dress. It was sunny, but just the cold/windy raw kind of day. Despite the cold, we kept warm with plenty of activities and great food! We hosted 3 families for dinner. We served ham, mashed potatoes, cornbread scones, spring greens with lemon dressing, green bean casserole, cranberry salad, deviled eggs, etc. Everyone brought something for the meal, and it worked out wonderfully. After dinner, we rode bikes, Lisa brought an outstanding egg hunt, and just played. Then came desserts! We had lemon pie, strawberry shortcake, eau claires, brownies, cookies, and oreo pie. Meg brought several things and outdid herself as always. Good thing Rob and I have been dieting! Everything was just perfect and I think everyone had a great time.
Here's the great egg hunt:

Below is the bike gang. Hayden just learned to ride
without the training wheels this past week. He finally
had the patience to stick with it! And he is so proud!
