Happy Birthday Lucia

On Sunday, April 26, Aunt Lucia and Jackson came over for a birthday breakfast. Rob cooked the entire meal for his sis, and we all went into a "carb coma" afterwards. We had bacon, eggs, monkey bread (which Hayden was eating the minute it came out of the oven. "Dad, this is really good!"), awesome waffles with syrup we just got a few weeks ago from the local sugar shack, fruit salad, coffee, and juice. mmm! There was lots of help for all those candles!

Some of the breakfast eaters above!!

Later that day, Hayden had his Little League parade, which officially opens the baseball season.

Our spring has gone from cold & damp to unseasonally hot, literally overnight. It was in the mid-80's on Sunday. But we found a cool spot to watch the parade. Afterwards we made our way to the ball field for a short program. Hayden's first official game is on Tuesday, 4/28. He will play two games per week this year, with the season over in mid-June, the same time school lets out for the summer.

Notice how tall Hayden is compared to the other kids, all ages 6 -7. Gives you an idea of how tall he is for his age! Hayden loves playing baseball.
